Effects that pull a matte from the image, isolating part of it by color, luminance, saturation, motion, or edges, or that clean up around a matte another effect already pulled.

Six of the nine, Luma Key, Chroma Key, Motion Key, Luma Range, Edge Key, and Sat Isolate, output an alpha-only matte rather than a recolored image. Channel Select, Despill, and Dominant Channel work on channels directly instead of producing a new matte.
